The Hon. Wesley Glenn Terrell is Vice Chair and Regent of Texas Southern University, the 4th largest HBCU in the United States. Mr. Terrell is also currently a mergers & acquisitions lawyer with AT&T in the company's Dallas headquarters. Terrell previously worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom LLP and Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP in Houston as a transactional lawyer in the areas of M&A and corporate finance. He worked for several years as a commercial and product liability litigator at Vinson & Elkins LLP in Houston.
Terrell’s prior government experience includes volunteer board service on the Texas Emerging Technology Fund as Higher Education Sub-Committee Chair. In that role, he traveled the state working with university leaders to fund and develop public-private partnerships to commercialize technology based research. He also worked to fund the recruitment of top out-of state faculty to Texas universities and fund the build-out of research institutions for relocating faculty. He also served on the Texas Advisory Committee to the United States Commission on Civil Rights and as a commissioner on the City of Pearland Zoning Board of Adjustments.
Terrell has received several awards, including being honored by the Dallas Business Journal with a 2011 Minority Business Leader Award and by the State Bar of Texas for his work in providing pro bono legal services.
Terrell is a graduate of Yale University, Columbia Law School, University of Houston Bauer College of Business (Finance MBA) and holds a Graduate Finance Certificate from SMU Cox School of Business.
E. Steve Bolden II focuses on a variety of corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions of publicly traded and privately held companies, public securities offerings, private equity transactions, non-profit representations, and bond transactions. Prior to joining Mahomes Bolden PC in 2008, he practiced as a corporate and mergers and acquisitions lawyer at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and Jackson Walker LLP.
Mr. Bolden received his A.B. in government from Dartmouth College and his J.D. magna cum laude from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Texas Southern University where he was a member of the Board of Advocates.
Mr. Bolden is involved with several community, civic, and charitable activities. He is regularly invited to speak about various legal or civic topics. He has received presidential citations from the J.L. Turner Legal Association and the Dallas Bar Association. He was selected as a Texas Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2005 through 2009 and 2011-2013. In 2012, Mr. Bolden was selected by the State Bar of Texas, Board of Directors as one of two candidates to run for President of the State Bar of Texas.
