Tatiana is Assistant General Counsel – Senior Vice President for Servicing & Operations for Citi, assisting the bank with servicing more than $150 million in credit card assets. She has nearly 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, and currently advises the business on compliance with various federal regulations including the Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Electronic Funds Transfer Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Gramm-Leach Bliley Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Truth in Lending Act and the Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices Act. Tatiana also assists the business in resolving consumer complaints and advises the bank on state escheatment and power of attorney regulations. She also assists the business in responding to state and federal audits and investigations. In addition to working in-house, Tatiana has spent much of her career in private practice, representing financial institutions in wide a range of cases concerning secured and unsecured debts.
Tatiana served as President of the J.L. Turner Legal Association in 2014 and, during her tenure, facilitated the renaming of the MLK Luncheon to the L.A. Bedford Awards Luncheon, in honor of the Association’s founder. Tatiana is in her fourth year as Chair of the Foundation’s Annual Scholarship & Awards Gala, and has also served as Chair of the African American Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Texas. She is an outgoing Barrister of the Patrick E. Higginbotham Inn of Court, and a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and the Dallas Bar Foundation. Tatiana was featured in the inaugural edition of Who’s Who in Black Dallas; named as a Texas Rising Star – Super Lawyers; awarded the “Women in Law” Award by the Dallas Area Real Estate Brokers Council; and is a two-time speaker at Soroptimist International’s “Dream It, Be It” conference.
Tatiana earned a J.D. from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law and an L.L.M. from SMU Dedman School of Law. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
